    Spring Semester Friendly

    In the Southern Hemisphere, the academic year is the reverse of that in the United States and Europe. AIFS Abroad makes it easy to study ‘down under’ — the Spring Friendly Program aligns with the typical spring semester in the Northern Hemisphere (January through May).

    ❇️ Earn up to 16 credits

    ❇️ Choose any course offered by the University of Sydney (subject to prerequisites)

    ❇️ Option to start your semester with an internship in your field of study

    Here’s how it works: 

    • Step 1: choose one course or an internship to focus on for the first 4-6 weeks of the program. 
    • Step 2: After completing your first course or internship, select 2-3 courses for the rest of your semester abroad.

    Internship Opportunities in Sydney

    The new Sydney program this Spring offers students the opportunity to kick off their semester with an international internship for 4-6 weeks (120 hours). Students are placed in an internship that matches their field of study or career interests.  

    That’s not all — in addition to gaining hands-on experience in your field of study, you’ll also benefit from a range of professional workshops and projects focused on expanding your network, navigating cultural differences, and achieving your career goals.  

    Life in Sydney: On Campus 

    You’ll live in a shared student residence located near University of Sydney’s stunning campus. Accommodation includes a shared kitchen and living room, Internet access, air conditioning, gym, cinema, and 24/7 secure reception — all included in your AIFS Abroad program fee. 

    The University of Sydney also offers students access to state-of-the-art athletic facilities. Whether you want to play competitively or socially, you can get involved in a range of activities like swimming, tennis, golf, hockey, soccer, rugby union, rowing, scuba diving, skiing and more.
