Education Abroad News Spring 2024
The prestigious George Mitchell Peace Scholarship was awarded to Ruth Griffith, a junior Honors student studying Economics, who will study abroad in Spring 2025. The scholarship covers all expenses for one Maine resident to study abroad at University College Cork in Ireland. Ruth showed exceptional knowledge about the mission of Senator George Mitchell and a profound sense of service and community-building. Congratulations to Ruth on this amazing achievement!
A total of 20 students majoring in Civil and Mechanical Engineering are studying abroad at the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia through the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) program in Valencia, Spain in Fall 2024.
In total, 62 UMaine students are studying abroad for Fall 2024 and 10 students are studying abroad for summer programs all over the world through the Office of International Programs.
