Students in the Ecuador study abroad program learned about sociology and anthropology while exploring the South American country.

VALDOSTA, Ga. – Taking the classroom to places like Europe, Asia, and South America is what studying abroad is all about. Students at Valdosta State University can earn class credit while experiencing new cultures, food, music, and so much more.

“College is about expanding what you know and having new experiences,” says Dr. Irina McClellan, assistant director of VSU’s Center for International Programs. “Studying abroad provides an opportunity for our students to travel to and live in another country, learn about native cultures and traditions, while still earning class credit. It is such a rewarding experience.”

Applications are currently being accepted for many of VSU’s Study Abroad programs for Summer 2024.

The Center for International Programs is holding its Study Abroad Fair on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Student Union Rotunda.
