Welcome undergrads, graduates, and alumni! Starting June 2nd, Florida Tech will host a  study abroad trip to Spain that you will surely talk about for years to come. This is the university’s first trip back to Spain since international travel was halted by COVID-19. This trip counts towards a 3 credit hour business elective for any major, But this is more than just your average international experience. For two weeks, students have the opportunity to meet with international executives from Spain’s top firms, eat local food, and visit Spain’s most historic sites.

With over 13 years of experience and having led more than 20 international study tours, Dr. Charles Bryant remains devoted to expanding his commitment to higher education and International Business. Taking charge of this year’s trip, his extensive knowledge ensures a professionally guided and enriching experience for all participants. Dr. Bryant is the director of International Study Programs at the Florida Tech Bisk College of Business and seeks to encourage cross-cultural learning through real-life experiences.

Here are some of the amazing things to look forward to on this summer’s study-abroad trip to Spain:

     1. Explore Madrid

Discover Madrid, one of Spain’s treasured destinations. Madrid features many historic wonders such as the Royal Palace, the Prado Museum for Spanish Art, and the Reina Sofia Museum. Dive into local life at Mercado de San Miguel and stroll through Barrio de las Letras. Make sure to stop by the Plaza Mayor and enjoy its lively atmosphere. Relish tapas, and catch the flamenco shows that frequently happen in the plaza. Madrid offers a vibrant blend of history, art, and delicious cuisine, and is just one of the destinations you’ll be able to visit during your cultural immersion experience.

    2. Visit ESIC

Have you ever wondered what an international campus is like?  ESIC Business and Marketing School (ESIC) is one of Spain’s top business universities and number one in marketing. During the international immersion experience, students will attend interactive workshops and seminars presented by ESIC. These workshops will allow students to network with international industry professionals and business students. The school is located in Barcelona, Valencia, and Madrid, vibrant cities known for their cultural richness and economic significance.

    3. Explore Malaga

Malaga, the home of Pablo Picasso, might be one of the most unforgettable destinations in the itinerary for this trip. This port city was founded in 1000 B.C. and offers centuries worth of historical experience. Artworks from the famous Pablo Picasso can be found in art galleries here and in authentic Spanish eateries. The Museo Picasso Málaga features over 230 original works from the artist and is a must-see in Malaga.

    4. Tour Barcelona

Barcelona is one of Spain’s most alluring and historic cities. This city captivates with its iconic architecture, including the world-famous Basilica de la Sagrada Família, which was recently completed. Stroll down La Rambla, explore the historic Gothic Quarter, and indulge in Catalan cuisine. In addition to touring around the city, you’ll meet with the top executives from firms operating in this robust and competitive city.

     5. Build lifelong memories

Traveling internationally and exploring new cultures is an unforgettable lifelong memory. International exploration allows students to see the world and learn more about the different cultures that make everyone special.

Past participants of this program, such as Marifer Saraguarte said “ Studying abroad in Spain was the highlight of my MBA program at Florida Tech. Besides learning about international business and visiting companies like Philips and Dekre, I was able to experience the rich culture and food in Spain. My favorite place was Malaga, a port city with beautiful architecture and beaches!”

“The Spain Study Abroad Program at Florida Tech brings you face-to-face with global leaders and offers an international experience like no other,” said Dr. Charles Bryant  “It is the fastest way to earn global business credit and gain the international global experience firms desire. There is simply no better way to learn globally than the Spain Study Abroad program!”

Sign up now and get the experience of a lifetime. The first seven students get an extra discounted rate off of their trip fare. Fees for the trip include your hotels, in-country travel, company visits, and multiple tourist destinations. There will be free days to roam the cities of Spain and explore the rich culture. So make sure to check out some of the destinations shown above.
