Cassidy Landis of Ocean View is one of more than 40 Lebanon Valley College students studying away this summer as part of the college’s study abroad program.
Landis, a graduate of Indian River High School, is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in music and traveled to Scotland this summer. The goal of this three-week summer study abroad program is to offer LVC students studying in any major the opportunity to engage with the music and culture of historic and modern Scotland.
“Scotland has a rich cultural heritage, with a long and varied history of music-making that includes traditional Scottish folk music (drums, woodwinds, bagpipes), as well as classical and contemporary styles (rock, dance, neo-folk),” representatives noted.
By the time they graduate, nearly 20 percent of LVC students will have spent time studying and traveling abroad. Learn more about the program at www.lvc.edu.
