DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The University of Dayton community is mourning a student who died while studying abroad.
The university announced that junior marketing major Connor DiNapoli, 21, died unexpectedly during a trip to Rome Thursday, June 27.
“We extend our deepest sympathy and prayers to Connor’s family, friends, faculty, staff and our entire campus community,” the university said in a statement.
The university is planning to hold a memorial service for DiNapoli later this fall. More information will be available from the university around that time.
Those looking to offer prayers or to light a candle in remembrance can do so at the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception.
