    Here are some of the most effective non-marriage pathways.

    TN Visa (For Canadian & Mexican Professionals)

    If you’re from Canada or Mexico, the TN visa under the USMCA (formerly NAFTA) is one of the easiest and fastest ways to work in the U.S.

    Who qualifies: Professionals in listed occupations (engineers, accountants, scientists, teachers, etc.) with a U.S. job offer.

    Why it works:

    • Can be approved right at the border (for Canadians).
    • Renewable indefinitely in three-year increments.
    • Spouses and children can accompany you under TD status, no marriage to a U.S. citizen required.

    L-1 Visa (For Employees Transferring Within the Same Company)

    The O-1 visa is ideal for artists, athletes, executives, and professionals who’ve achieved distinction in their fields.

    Who qualifies: Individuals with significant accomplishments in science, business, education, arts, or athletics; think awards, publications, or leadership roles.

    F-1 Student Visa (For Those Who Want to Study First)
