Big news! AIFS Abroad is thrilled to announce new study abroad program options in one of the world’s most exciting cities: Seoul, South Korea! There are so many reasons why Seoul is a top destination for students looking to study abroad, and we think you’ll have the experience and adventure of a lifetime there.

Read on to learn more about the study abroad programs we’re now offering in South Korea:

AIFS Abroad students attend Sogang University, which is rated among the top universities in the city. This institution of approximately 8,000 students has over 1,300 that are international, creating a strong global atmosphere. Located in the exciting and dynamic area of Sinchon, right in the heart of the city, students have easy access to all of the incredible things Seoul has to offer — everything from world-class museums and art galleries to a thriving food and social scene.

    1. Spring Semester

During your spring semester in Seoul with AIFS Abroad, you’ll take four or five courses and earn up to 12 to 15 credits. Our students can choose any undergraduate course taught in English from Sogang University’s course catalog, subject to prerequisites. If you have a high level of proficiency in the Korean language, you will have access to additional courses from the course catalog, subject to prerequisites. Korean language courses are also available.

    This program includes:

    • Up to 15 credits
    • On-campus housing
    • Cultural and social activities
    • 24/7 emergency support
    • Comprehensive insurance package
    • Excursions and day trips
    • On-site support staff
    • Personal and professional development
    • Carbon offsetting for flights to-and-from South Korea

    2. Summer

When you choose our summer term in Seoul, you’ll choose up to two courses at Sogang University. A Korean language class will be offered in the morning — available in Beginning, Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced levels — followed by an elective of your choice taught in English in the afternoon. Students can opt to do one or the other for a 3-credit experience, or combine both for a 6-credit experience.

    This program includes:

    • Up to 6 credits
    • On-campus housing
    • Cultural and social activities
    • 24/7 emergency support
    • Comprehensive insurance package
    • Excursions and day trips
    • On-site support staff
    • Personal and professional development
    • Carbon offsetting for flights to-and-from South Korea

So much is included when you choose to South Korea as your study abroad destination with AIFS Abroad.

Not only will you experience high-impact academics and incredible cultural immersion, but you’ll also have many other features included your program fee! Studying abroad with AIFS Abroad in Seoul means tuition, credit transfer, housing, excursions and day trips, cultural and social activities, on-site staff, 24/7 emergency support, comprehensive insurance, and personal/professional development opportunities are automatically included in your program. Helpful, right?
