Salzburg
What’s that? The hills are alive with the sound of you having the best summer ever. Salzburg, known as the setting for The Sound of Music (and Mozart’s hometown), is a great place to study abroad in Europe this summer. Are you a nature lover? The meadows, lakes and mountains of the Alps are easily accessible from the city. This summer, you can take a German language course plus an elective course taught in English or take two courses taught in English for a total of 6 credits.
Study Abroad in the Czech Republic
Not only is the Czech Republic home to some of the top universities worldwide – it’s also conveniently bordered by Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Austria. That means weekend getaways are easily within your reach!

London
London leads the pack when it comes to options for studying abroad in Europe this summer. You can choose from a vast variety of courses offered at the AIFS Global Education Center, learn from theater professionals at Shakespeare’s Globe, study health sciences at St. George’s, or choose from numerous courses offered this summer at the University College London (UCL) and the University of the Arts London (UAL).
Study Abroad in France
France has a certain je ne sais quoi charm that’s guaranteed to sweep you away. Consider studying with AIFS Abroad this summer to take your passion for French culture to a new level. Whether you’re on your way to Paris, the Riviera or the Alps, you’re sure to find an enchanting adventure in France.

Cannes
This summer in Cannes, French language courses are offered from elementary to advanced levels across three sessions. Students take a placement exam to determine their language level after arrival. Another bonus? You can combine consecutive sessions and spend more of your summer in Cannes.
Grenoble
With the Intensive French Language Program, you can earn 5 credits by taking a French language course this summer at the Université Grenoble Alpes.
Paris
This summer, you have study abroad program options at three leading universities in Paris:
- American Business School Paris (ABSParis): For those interested in business courses taught in English. For those who want to begin or improve their French, beginner-level courses are offered during Session 1.
- Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne (CCFS): French language study is offered at all levels from Beginner to Advanced.
- Institut de Langue et de Culture Françaises (ILCF): French language courses are available at all levels, from Beginner to Advanced. Students choosing the French Culture Program can take courses taught in English.
Study Abroad in Germany
With its reputation as an innovator in business, engineering and academics, you can’t go wrong with Germany as your European study abroad destination. Make the most out of your summer and take in the country’s breathtaking scenery, delicious food and captivating heritage.

Those lucky enough to study abroad in Berlin this summer can take German language courses and/or subject courses taught in English at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (the city’s oldest university).

Take a journey this summer to the cradle of civilization Greece! Studying abroad here is a chance to savor relaxing beach days, dynamic city life and ancient history.
Athens
The summer session in Athens offers courses from across a wide curriculum of academic disciplines. Two sessions are available. You can choose from two 4-week sessions or double your fun and take both sessions for 8 weeks in Athens.
Study Abroad in Ireland
An adventure like no other awaits you in Ireland! Spend your summer exploring the Emerald Isle. With its historical castles, lively traditional tunes, hospitality and green landscapes, it’s hard to think of reasons why you wouldn’t want to study abroad in Ireland.

Limerick
Choices, choices, choices! Students studying abroad in Limerick this summer can choose from the Irish Studies Program, Responsible Business Program, Health Care Program, and the Law Program.
Maynooth
In Maynooth, you can take two courses (available in a wide range of subjects!) on a Hogwarts-esque campus this summer and earn a total of 6 credits.
Study Abroad in Italy
From the ancient ruins of Rome to the beauty of the Amalfi Coast, Italy is brimming with unique experiences. Each region of this timeless nation has its own distinct cuisine and culture for you to explore.

Florence
Studying abroad in Florence this summer gives you lots of program options. The Traditional Academic Program, Wine Marketing Program, Soccer Program and Study + Internship Program are all offered at the AIFS Global Education Center in Florence.
Rome
Students can choose to study abroad in Rome for Session 1 (3 weeks) or Session 2 (4 weeks), or combine both sessions and spend 7 weeks in the Eternal City. A Study + Internship program is also available in Rome this summer.
Study Abroad in Portugal
Portugal has become a popular place to study abroad in Europe in recent years, and this summer you can savor the country’s seaside towns, lively cities and fantastic port wine.

Lisbon
Summer study abroad students in Lisbon can choose from a variety of business and marketing courses (taught in English) offered across three sessions. A survival Portuguese language course is also available to help you gain a better understanding of Portugal’s history and culture.
Study Abroad in Spain
If you’re considering studying abroad in Europe this summer, Spain deserves a spot at the top of your list. In Spain, you can practice your Spanish language skills and learn more about the country’s unique regions and history.

Barcelona
Summer study abroad programs are offered across four sessions in Barcelona. The first session has courses taught in English. For session 2, students can choose to take courses in English only or take a combination of Spanish and English courses. Spanish-only courses are available during session 3 and 4.
Granada
This summer in Granada, courses are offered across three sessions. You can combine consecutive sessions for a longer stay and to earn more credit. A summer internship program is also available – those with an intermediate level of Spanish and above can intern in a local business, in a local hospital or with an NGO.
Madrid
Students can study abroad in Madrid this summer during session 1, session 2 or combine sessions and have a longer adventure. Your program options offered include: the Hispanic Studies Program (all courses taught in Spanish), the Spanish Plus Program (all courses taught in English) and an Internship Program.
Salamanca
Spend your summer taking in everything that Spain’s “Golden City” has to offer. Students studying abroad in Salamanca can combine intensive Spanish language classes with courses focusing on Spanish culture. Spanish language courses are available at all levels from beginner to superior.
