With the start of a new school year, the demand for cross-border delivery by overseas students has increased significantly.
To better serve overseas students, a major Chinese parcel delivery company, Yunda Express, has brought self-service delivery to universities in major cities in Australia, including Sydney, New South Wales and Melbourne, during the back-to-school season. The service aims to provide students with a simple, convenient and affordable means to ship and receive goods more quickly.
In a recent message to the company, a student said that the service is affordable and suitable for students studying abroad like her.
“My parents said they have saved a lot of money sending packages from China to Aussie after using the new service. It is also very convenient for me to send parcels back to China. I don”t have to go very far, as there is a self-delivery locker at school. My friends have also enjoyed the service,” she wrote.
According to Yunda’s Sydney office, the service is highly favored by overseas Chinese, immigrants and international students due to its efficient service, high cost-effectiveness and reliable delivery times. The office handles about 2,000 packages between China and Australia every day.
Yunda’s move is an example of how Chinese logistics companies are looking to promote their business overseas.
With the rapid development of the economy in China, more Chinese companies have expanded globally. In order to help Chinese e-commerce sellers facilitate parcel delivery between China and overseas regions, parcel delivery companies have been expanding their logistics networks and optimizing their services.
Recently, Yunda opened its China-France cross-border shipping line, following the launch of its China-Tanzania and China-United Kingdom shipping services earlier this year.
The company’s cross-border shipping service provides a variety of convenient features such as automatic tracking notifications for parcels and a bilingual system in both Chinese and English.
The service has already been launched in the United Arab Emirates, Australia, South Korea, Malaysia, Cambodia and Nepal. It aims to provide convenience and cost-effective parcel delivery solutions for local cross-border e-commerce businesses and overseas Chinese communities.
In addition, Yunda is expanding its overseas network by collaborating with local partners in countries such as the UAE, Nigeria, Kenya, Armenia and Mongolia.
Its logistics service covers more than 250 cities in 35 countries and regions.
