CHICAGO (CBS) — A civil rights complaint filed against the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) Tuesday accuses the university of discriminating against Palestinian-American students and others who supported Palestine during campus meetings.  Palestine Legal filed the Title VI complaint with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR). Students wanted to voice their concerns to staff and faculty about the discriminatory nature of study abroad trips to Israel. Instead, they say they were racially profiled and silenced.
