    Studying abroad sounds like a daunting thing. Who doesn’t want to pursue their degree from the top universities of the world? However, no matter how amazing it sounds, the process to get admitted to these universities is a long one. It can get overwhelming if you aren’t aware of what to do.

    To clear up your confusion, here are some entrance exams that are mandatory to write to get into foreign universities. 

    1. Graduate Record Examination (GRE)

    One of the most common entrance exams that a student has to take is the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). This test is given for the universities of the US and Canada. It tests your quantitative abilities, verbal and general analytical skills. This test is taken for courses in the field of science and engineering.

    2. Law School Admission Test (LSAT)

    To get admission into law colleges and start your career in the field, you have to take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). This exam is to get into universities in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. 

    3. Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

    The College Board of the USA schedules an exam called the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). This entrance test is for the universities of the US. The test consists of a reasoning test to assess a person’s writing and grammar and a subject-specific test according to the chosen course. 

    4. Medical College Admission Test (MCAT)

    If you wish to study abroad to pursue a degree in medicine and healthcare, you have to write the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT). The test is organised by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). This test is valid for the US and Canada.

    5. Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT)

    The entrance that will be a stepping stone in the process of your admission to a management school is the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT). After this test, you can study MBA in over 500 foreign universities all around the world. 

    6. TOEFL And IELTS

    The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a mandatory exam that needs to be taken by non-native English speakers. This test can get you into top-performing universities in the UK, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
